About Failreactor

What is Failreactor?

Failreactor is a community about nothing and everything in general. Mostly internet stuff, though. Most activity goes on in the IRC channel. The website sort of grew as a complement to the channel, starting out as the members' own image board. Later, community features like profile pages and forums were added.

IRC channel?

Failreactor started as, and will always be based on, the vibrant IRC channel on GameSurge, frequented by a few users from around the world. If you already have an IRC client, clicking this link will take you to Failreactor. If you don't, install one, such as XChat for Windows or Linux or use ChatZilla, an addon for the Firefox web browser.

Who's boss?

The site was founded and is owned and funded by NickelPlate. It's maintained by Elof, who also wrote and designed the website from scratch.

You can contact Elof if you have any questions about the site functionality or inner workings of the website. To reach him, either get on IRC already or send an e-mail to zombieloffe@gmail.com.

How does it work?

The web site is based on The CodeIgniter framework for PHP, an MVC framework that makes a lot of things much easier.

Thanks to who?

The web site made possible by our lead developer ZombieLoffe. The hosting is paid for in part by donations from Caboobs, Zenith and HansMoschd
